Hung-Chi Chen, MD., Ph.D., F.A.C.S. is currently the Superintendent of International Center of China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan, as well as Professor of Plastic Surgery at China Medical University. He was the president of Taiwan Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. He has 468 publications on microsurgery, 29 book chapters, a special book written on voice reconstruction with autogenous intestine, and 4 other books on Reconstructive Surgery. Most of his clinical work and research are in the field of complex microvascular reconstructive surgery, especially microvascular transfer of intestine for various reconstructive procedures, including reconstruction of esophagus and voice, urethra, vagina, etc., as well as the prevention of microsurgical complications. Professor Chen is also the pioneer of lymphatic surgery in Taiwan. He focused mainly on Charles procedure and free vascularized lymph node transfer.
He had been invited as visiting professor and gave special lectures by 52 renowned medical centers in the world.He is also devoted to charity medicine for overseas patients of complex deformities from a variety of countries (such as Peru, India and Philippines), and has won excellent international reputation for his advanced knowledge and technology in complex reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Isao Koshima, M.D. is Professor and Chief of the International Center for Lymphedema, Hiroshima University Hospital. He was a Senior consultant of National University of Singapore (2009-10), Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery, and Vice Director of Tokyo University Hospital (2004-17, 2011-13), Visiting Professor, University of Barcelona (2012-), and presented ASRM Buncke lecture 2014, and ASPS Maliniac lecture 2014. In his carrier, over 350 publications and numerous book chapters and textbook will archive in history. He was invited for live surgery demonstration in 32 hospitals in 20 countries since 1997.
He made revolutions in history of plastic reconstructive surgery: proposed concept of perforator flaps. inventor of DIEP flap(1989), ALT flap and chimera combine flaps for head and neck (1993), supermicrosurgery (1990), lymphticovenular anastomosis(1990), concept of nerve flap (1983), established annual meeting on international course on perforator flap (1997-), international course on supermicrosurgery (2017-), etc. established supermicro tech (vascular anastomosis less than 0.8-0.3mm) and now completed nanomicrosurgery (anastomosis less than 0.3-0.1 with 30 micron needle), completed nanomicro video system.

Joon Pio Hong, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. is a Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine and Asan Medical Center. He has board certification in Trauma, Hand, and Plastic surgery. He is also an adjunct professor to Georgetown University USA and St Paul University Ethiopia.
His major work has been researching and clinical practice in wound healing, diabetic foot & lower extremity reconstruction, and supermicrosurgery. He has been invited to over 80 countries to present his work and is a visiting professor for more than 40 institutions. He has over 200 publications in this field of practice with 24 book chapters including the Neligan Plastic surgery.
He was awarded the “Godina Travelling Fellowship” from the 2015 American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, “Al Fred W. Farmer Lectureship” 2016 from the Canadian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, “Acta Scandinavia Lectureship” 2018 from the Scandinavian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the “Maliniac Lectureship” 2020 from the American Society of Plastic Surgery. He in charge of the Archives of Plastic Surgery as the editor in chief since 2020.

Peter Neligan, MB, FRCS, FRCSC, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, Director of the Center for Reconstructive Surgery at UW Medical Center – Montlake, and a Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UW School of Medicine. Dr. Neligan specializes in reconstructive surgery including flap surgery, lymphatic surgery, facial re-animation and facial transplantation. Dr. Neligan has authored four books, 180 scientific papers, 75 book chapters, edited 10 textbooks.
He is president of the Plastic Surgery Foundation, a member of multiple professional organizations and is heavily involved in UW’s Plastic Surgery Training Program. Originally from Ireland, Prof. Peter Neligan served as chair of the division of plastic surgery at the University of Toronto from 1996 to 2007 and was appointed Wharton Chair in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at that institution. He was recruited to the University of Washington in 2007 to establish the Center for Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Johnson Chia-Shen Yang is a senior Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who has dedicated his career in treating lymphedema patients with supermicrosurgical lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA). He is the pioneer of supermicrosurgery in Taiwan and he is the director of the Lymphedema Center in Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. He has written 13 groundbreaking articles regarding supermicrosurgery so far which were published in the Journal of American college of Surgeons (JACS) and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS). He has been invited to do LVA live demo in Zurich University Hospital, Switzerland, and BG Trauma Center Ludwigshafen, University of Heidelberg, Germany in 2017. He was appointed as the Visiting Professor of BG Trauma Center Ludwigshafen, University of Heidelberg, Germany. Dr. Akitatsu Hayashi is specialized in surgical treatment for lymphedema. He is well-known in pioneer in modern imaging techniques of the lymphatic vessel for lymphedema surgery (Ultrasound, OCT). Kameda Lymphedema Center has been the first Asian designated Surgical Centers of Excellence by the LE&RN, USA, in 2020. He was appointed to Visiting Professor of Asan Medical Center, Korea in 2019, Virtual Professor of Buncke Clinic, USA in 2020 and faculty in Boston Lymphatic Symposium in 2021. Dr. Giuseppe Visconti is a Plastic Surgeon based in Rome. He started the Lymphedema Surgery Program in University Hospital “Agostino Gemelli” in Rome, which is nowadays one of the highest-volume Center for lymphedema surgery in Europe. The first user of Ultra high-Frequency Ultrasound in Europe for lymphatic surgery, he pioneered its use for perforator flaps. Dr Giuseppe Visconti has been granted by the Italian Ministry of Health a research project on Lymphedema Surgery in 2017, has produced more than 25 publications dedicated to lymphedema surgery on international peer reviewed Journals, 3 chapters on lymphedema surgery for International Books and is Co-Editor of the first book entirely dedicated to Supermicrosurgical LVA, published in 2020.
